Netcool Reporter Training

There are currently 2 courses for Netcool Reporter; the Installation and Administration course covers all aspects of Reporter installation, including Oracle Database schema set up, the Designer course covers aspects of Report Design, Page and Channel configuration. Both courses can be completed in a single week of training.

Objectives / Certifications

The Reporter courses are designed for users who are responsible for installing configuring the product. The courses are essential for system integrators working with the Netcool product suite.

Daily Schedule

Reporter Installation and Administration course:
Day 1: Product overview, Oracle Database configuration, High Performance Oracle Gateway Configuration, Installation, Start up and Login
Day 2: Reporter Server Administration, Page Administration

Reporter Designer course:
Day 1: Introduction, Reporter Designer Basic and Advanced
Day 2: Chart Presentations, Free Form Reports, Information Designer, HTML Designer, Report Scheduling and Publishing

Prerequisites

UNIX and scripting experience essential
Knowledge of SQL and Database concepts beneficial
Understanding of HTML beneficial
Understaning of SNMP and Network/Service Management beneficial
