Netcool Impact Training

This weeklong course covers all aspects of configuration for the Netcool Impact product. The course includes product architecture considerations, data management and numerous useful policy examples, including integrating Netcool Impact with external communication tools such as Jabber Services and email.

Objectives / Certifications

The course is intended for anyone whose role involves configuration of the Netcool Impact product and is essential for system integrators working with Netcool products. Attendees of the course will be eligible to take the Netcool Certified Consultant certification.

Daily Schedule

Day 1: Introduction, Architecture and Components Overview, Installation, Data Gathering, Using the Policy Wizard
Day 2: Creating and Extending Event Enrichment Policies
Day 3: Synthetic Event Policies, Organising Development, Operator View
Day 4: Advanced Correlation and Notification Policies
Day 5: Error Handling and Debugging, Security Manager, Server Clustering, Defining Impact Solutions

Prerequisites

Prior attendance to the OMNIbus course essential
UNIX and scripting experience essential
Knowledge of SQL and Database concepts beneficial
Understaning of Network Management beneficial
